The University of Utah Partners with Ziplines Education

SALT LAKE CITY (JUNE 11, 2024) — According to a recent ”State of the Tech Workforce” report, Utah has one of the country’s biggest concentrations of tech workers. And yet, many employers often express concerns about employees being unprepared for the integration of artificial intelligence into their jobs. To help professionals ramp up for the future of work, the University of Utah today announced its launch of several new online programs in partnership with Ziplines Education, a continuing-education company that partners with universities to deliver industry-focused certificate courses.

“By partnering with Ziplines Education, we can better meet the needs of learners looking to upskill and reskill while leveraging our success in collaborating with partners to deliver innovative programs to better meet the needs of our students — and their future employers,” said Anne Innis, Senior Director, Academic & Professional Programs for University Connected Learning.

Courses are focused on high-growth career disciplines, including digital marketing, business analytics, sales, project and product management, and feature certifications from leading technology platforms. The industry-driven curriculum allows learners to build their skillset on their own time and work toward completing certifications. Students can register for the following programs online and prerequisite courses are not required. Graduates will earn a non-academic credit certificate from the University of Utah.

  • Digital Marketing learners leave the program with industry-recognized qualifications and certifications in HubSpot, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Business Analytics learners earn five Tableau micro-credentials during the course, and are prepared to take the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification exam.
  • Product Management learners earn Product Board’s Outcome-Driven Roadmaps Certification, Jira Software Essentials Certification, and Amplitude Getting Started with Amplitude Analytics Badge.
  • Sales Development & Sales Operations program learners earn a curated collection of Salesforce Trailhead badges that cover all the critical areas required to effectively drive the productivity and capacity of a company’s selling resources.

Over a 10-week span, through online instruction, self-directed learning, and optional live sessions, learners will dive into real-world applications, data-driven strategies, and cutting-edge technology skills, which include generative AI integration.

"We’re excited to partner with University of Utah, with whom we share a deep commitment for meeting the needs of today’s professionals, offering them accessibility, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and a leg up on the competition" said Sara Leoni, CEO and founder of Ziplines Education.

These industry-certification programs give learners a competitive edge, whether seeking to strengthen their current role, move up the leadership ladder, or quickly learn impactful skills to launch a new career.
