Nebraska Flagship Partners With Ziplines Education, Empowering Busy Professionals To Compete in Booming Technology-Adjacent Job Market Through New Upskilling and Reskilling Opportunities

LINCOLN, NE (JUNE 18, 2024) — To help professionals ramp up for the future of work, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a top-ranked university according to U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review, is launching several new micro-credentials in partnership with Ziplines Education.

According to the recent Nebraska Economic Competitiveness Assessment, which measures Nebraska’s economic standing compared to peer states, skills-based hiring presents a huge opportunity for digital and tech-related jobs.

UNL’s new industry-certification programs introduce pathways for learners and earners at all levels of education to grow professionally. The expert-taught and industry-driven curriculum, combined with an accessible schedule and without educational prerequisites, allows learners to build their skillset on their own time and work toward industry-recognized certifications.

Over a 10-week span, through online instruction, self-directed learning, and optional live sessions, learners will dive into real-world applications, data-driven strategies, and cutting-edge technology skills, which include AI integration. The industry-certification programs introduce pathways for learners and earners at all levels of education to grow professionally.

Industry-certification programs, which can be found at online.unl.edu/microcredentials, are focused on high-growth career disciplines, including digital marketing, business analytics, project management, product management, and sales, and feature certifications from leading technology platforms.

  • Digital Marketing learners leave the program with industry-recognized qualifications and certifications in HubSpot, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Business Analytics learners earn five Tableau micro-credentials during the course and are prepared to take the Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification exam. 
  • Project Management learners earn a Jira Software Essentials Associate Certification.
  • Product Management learners earn Product Board’s Outcome-Driven Roadmaps Certification, Jira Software Essentials Certification, and Amplitude’s Getting Started with Amplitude Analytics Badge.
  • Sales Development program learners earn a curated collection of Salesforce Trailhead badges that cover all the critical areas required to effectively drive the productivity and capacity of a company’s selling resources.
